I’m a hot sleeper who loves lightweight down, but I often end up kicking it off. I recalled loving a silk duvet I’d bought in China years ago. So when I needed bedding for my home in Japan, I discovered NELPANDA and bought one.
It was a revelation. In winter, I layer it with down and it’s wonderfully cozy; in summer, I use it alone and it’s just right. I liked it so much that I bought more for my homes in Hawaii and Lisbon. I’ve now bought five NELPANDA silk duvets. They’re lightweight, beautifully comfortable, work remarkably well across very different climates, and are a terrific value compared with quality down. If you’ve never slept under a silk-filled duvet, you’re missing out.
I’ve also been impressed with NELPANDA as a company. When I had some confusion about a promotion after they opened their U.S. store, their team brilliantly sorted out my overseas and U.S. accounts and purchase history. They are on top of it.
And then they got me with the towel. After my fifth duvet purchase, they sent me one of their Egyptian cotton towels to sample. I didn’t need towels. I wasn’t looking for towels. But then I tried it. It was cloud-soft and plush like my favorite Portuguese cotton towels, but lighter and even softer—and it dries beautifully.
Now I may have to buy matching sets for my different abodes.
Well played, NELPANDA. Well played.
